Lindsey Brooks, Ph.D.
Approach and Background
I have been providing therapy to diverse clientele since 2005 - focusing my work on cultural, sexual, and gender diversity. I am passionate about providing my clients an empowering space to find their unique voice. I strive to help my clients find more peace in their life, trusting themselves more, and allowing themselves to be imperfect once in a while. I work with individual clients and couples in my private practice in San Francisco.
At the Performance Psychology Center, I serve as a supervisor for our amazing masters and doctoral level therapists who are completing their hours for licensure. Training and mentoring the next generation of fantastic, culturally competent therapists is a passion of mine. I previously coordinated the Post-doctoral Training program at Sonoma State University and was the Special Assistant to the Training Director at UC Berkeley’s Counseling Center. I am thrilled to continue to provide supervision at PPC.
Outside of my work I love time in nature, live music, meditation, travel, and a good bakery! Active involvement in the feminist, LGBTQ+, and anti-racist communities are essential for me.
