Approach and Background

Dr. Charlie Todaro has a doctorate in clinical psychology and a master’s in sport psychology. He is a member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). The majority of his training and work experience has focused on the specialization of supporting athletes. His passion continues for supporting athletes, professionals, and performers in both their personal and performance-driven growth. With each client, he prioritizes real connection, adaptability, and strategies that support long-term progress.

A former competitive athlete, Dr. Todaro has first-hand experience with the mental challenges that come with high-pressure environments. He understands the delicate balance between personal identity and performance identity and works with his clients to support both aspects of their lives.

With a decade of clinical training and experience in collegiate athletic settings and private practice, Dr. Todaro understands how to support individuals and teams of all ages, disciplines, and levels from junior to professional. In addition to his clinical experience, he’s supported professional sporting organizations – in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and international soccer - to improve scouting practices and optimize talent identification, enhance athlete support and integration upon acquisition, and increase employee well-being and performance.

As a licensed clinical and sport psychologist in the state of Washington and a PsyPact certified psychologist, he is the owner of Washington Sport Psychology in Seattle.
