Approach and Background:

My approach to therapy focuses on growth and development through a strengths-based approach. Each individual is a sum of their parts, which includes their experiences, thoughts, feelings, and the context in which they reside. These parts teach us what is important to you and how we can create space for you to engage in self-growth. My aim is to empower you in your choices as you engage in the adventure of life. I utilize coping strategies from a variety of theories including somatic, mindfulness, and more. My training is social justice oriented, and I utilize a directive style of therapy with my foundation based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gestalt.

I support clients in exploring their identities and roles, which may consist of family of origin, family dynamics, gender identity, sexuality, and being a person of color. We work together to improve communication skills, develop healthier routines, and navigate relationship issues. I work with teens, college students, adults, and parents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and major life transitions. These transitions can include relationship dynamic changes, college transitions, moving, career change, and more.

I believe that having a 'good fit' is necessary to build a supportive and healthy client-therapist relationship. We will collaborate on the challenges that come up during the session, and work towards the goals you have for yourself.

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist & Associate Professional Clinical Counselor under the supervision of Lindsey Brooks, Ph.D, PSY#24418. I have my Masters in Counseling and am currently working towards dual licensure. I see individuals, and couples.
